Health and Population Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar asserted the Egyptian state succeeded in adopting policies that ensure food security for all Egyptians.
Such policies have prevented any reductions or shortages in food security or in health supplies, despite economic crises worldwide and though the country’s population has surpassed 100 million, added Abdel Ghaffar during a seminar on the sidelines of the Global Conference for Innovation in Healthcare, held in the Qatari capital Doha.
Egypt has launched an initiative for mitigating climate change bad impacts in coincidence with Egypt’s hosting of the 27th Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP 27), slated for November in Sharm El-Sheikh, he added.
The initiative is highlighting the growing threats and serious repercussions of climate changes for food, according to him.
