Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly received Fu Hua, President of China’s Xinhua News Agency, and his delegation at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital. The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Information Diaa Rashwan and Chinese Ambassador Liao Liqiang.

Madbouly highlighted the depth of Egypt–China relations, noting the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties and the comprehensive strategic partnership launched in 2014 by Presidents Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Xi Jinping. He conveyed greetings to Chinese Premier Li Qiang, recalling their fruitful meeting in July 2025.

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of building on the momentum in bilateral relations, including cooperation in media and cultural exchanges. He reaffirmed Egypt’s support for the “One China” principle and praised coordination on regional and international issues.

Madbouly pointed to growing economic cooperation, especially Chinese investment in infrastructure projects in the New Capital, such as the financial district and light rail, as well as industrial partnerships in the Suez Canal Economic Zone. He also emphasized the need to expand media training and exchange programs.

Fu Hua conveyed greetings from the Chinese Premier and affirmed China’s commitment to strengthening ties with Egypt. He praised Egypt’s development achievements after visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum, the pyramids, and the New Capital, describing them as evidence of a bold vision for growth.

He highlighted Xinhua’s global reach and the key role of its Cairo office in covering Middle East developments. Fu Hua pledged continued professional coverage of Egypt’s progress and efforts to showcase investment opportunities to the world.
