Egyptian Olympians returned home on Tuesday coming from Tokyo, where they participated in the 2020 Games.
Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhi and chairman of the Egyptian Olympic committee Hisham Hatab were on the same plane that headed for Cairo.
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, Egyptian champion Jaiana Farouk got on an open top bus that should take her to the Olympic Centre in Maadi to attend a press conference.
Staff of the Cairo Airport Company received the Egyptian champions at the airport and offered flowers and souvenirs. All arrival procedures were expedited and an open top bus was available to ferry the champions to their next stop.
