Egypt welcomed inking a framework agreement on the transitional period in Sudan.
In a statement by the Foreign Ministry on Monday, Egypt asserted that this agreement is an important and pivotal step to lay down the principles related to ruling structures in Sudan.
Egypt expressed full support to the agreement and its readiness to cooperate with the different parties in Sudan to reach a final agreement that achieves the aspirations of the Sudanese and promotes the Sudanese role in supporting peace and stability in the region and Africa.
Egypt urged the international community to provide all support needed for Sudan to go through this transitional phase successfully and achieve the interests of all segments of the Sudanese.
