TUNIS – Palestinian Ambassador to Tunisia Hayel al Fahoum asserted on Monday the importance of efforts exerted by Egypt under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to bring peace to the region.
In an interview with Al Qahera News channel from Tunisia, Fahoum said that Egypt exerts strenuous efforts to unify the Arab stance on the situation in Gaza, lauding the essential and strict decisions taken by President Sisi to prevent the implementation of the Israeli strategy which aims at the “liquidation” of the Palestinian cause.
The current situation in Gaza aims at killing and displacing the Palestinians, he said, asserting that Israel attempted to commit genocide against the Palestinians for decades.
Fahoum warned the Arab nations from the strategic impact of the Israeli escalations against the Gazans on the Arab resources.
The western countries are following and practicing the opposite of what they call for concerning human rights and freedom of expression, he said.
The escalations will have a negative and catastrophic impact not only on Palestine but also on Israel, he said.
