Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his UAE counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed Saturday the importance of activating the two-state solution as a means to achieve justice, security, and stability in the region.
Sisi met with Sheikh Mohammed upon his arrival at the Cairo International Airport, the presidential spokesman said in a statement.
The two leaders held discussions focusing on enhancing the outstanding bilateral cooperation between the two countries and exploring promising opportunities to expand it to broader levels. This aims to strengthen the deep partnership between the two countries in various economic, investment, developmental, and political fields.
The two sides also reviewed regional issues of mutual interest, particularly the intensive efforts to reach a cease fire in the Gaza Strip and ensure the implementation of humanitarian aid in quantities sufficient to alleviate the significant humanitarian suffering in the enclave.
They stressed the necessity of activating the two-state solution as a means to achieve justice, security, and stability in the region.
