Egypt has reinforced its position as a regional and global hub for advanced technology and digital exports. Government efforts to localize technology and expand the digital economy have driven growth in outsourcing industries, attracted global service centers, and supported local manufacturing of electronics and mobile phones.
The country has also invested in building digital skills among youth and adopting modern technologies, boostingcompetitiveness and innovation.
These initiatives contributed to Egypt ranking first in Africa and 35th worldwide in the Advanced Technology Exports and Market Size Index published by U.S. News in 2026.
Officials noted that Egypt’s achievements reflect a broader national strategy to create a sustainable digital economy, generate jobs, and expand exports.
By combining local innovation with international partnerships, Egypt continues to position itself as a leader in technology, opening new opportunities for integration into global supply chains and reinforcing its role as a driver of regional development.
