Egypt’s Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Ahmed Rostom, held talks on Saturday with officials from investment and financial technology companies to discuss expanding electronic payment systems and supporting digital transformation.
The meeting included representatives from the National Investment Bank (NIB), NI Capital and Sahl.
Discussions focused on improving electronic payment services, supporting entrepreneurship and innovation, and reviewing investments linked to the NIB.
Minister Rostom has made it clear that Egypt places high importance on digital transformation and government service development as part of its sustainable development strategy.
He stressed the importance of partnerships with the private sector to benefit from advanced technology and provide easier, more efficient services for citizens.
Participants also discussed expanding digital payment solutions for government and public services, while reviewing the latest technologies offered by Sahl to support Egypt’s shift toward a fully integrated digital economy.
