Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid Saleh said Egypt is continuing efforts to improve the business environment, strengthen the competitiveness of the economy and support the private sector’s role in driving economic growth.
Speaking during celebrations marking 25 years of Allianz’s presence in Egypt, Saleh said the government is working to create a more attractive environment for local and foreign investment, stressing that the insurance sector is a key pillar supporting investment, production, exports and sustainable growth.
He congratulated Allianz Egypt on its anniversary and praised the role of international companies in transferring expertise, developing products and improving market efficiency.
Saleh also called on global and regional insurance companies to increase their investments in Egypt in the coming period.
He said a strong and advanced insurance system is essential for attracting investment, adding that improving the investment climate requires not only government reforms, but also a strong financial and insurance sector that can meet the demands of a modern economy.
He added that the presence of a global company such as Allianz contributes to the Egyptian economy by transferring expertise and introducing modern insurance products.
Saleh renewed his call for international companies to expand their operations in Egypt and develop innovative products that support national priorities, particularly in health insurance, insurance for small and medium-sized enterprises, export insurance, and insurance covering investment and foreign trade risks.
