CAIRO – Egypt renewed on Thursday warning of the seriousness of escalation in case current truce negotiations failed, Cairo News channel reported quoting a high-level source.
The Egyptian security delegation in the negotiations is stepping up efforts to reach a satisfactory formula on disputed points, the source added.
Contacts between Cairo and all parties, including Israel, the US and Hamas are going on to avoid any escalation and ensure application of ceasefire agreement on the ground, the source said.
