Egypt’s Minister of Labour Hassan Raddad reiterated Egypt’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, stressing that Egypt will continue its political, humanitarian and developmental support for the Palestinian people.
Raddad made the remarks on Tuesday during a meeting with Palestinian Labour Minister Enas Dahadha Attari, on the sidelines of the 52nd Arab Labour Conference in Cairo.
The two ministers discussed ways to strengthen co-operation between their ministries and exchange expertise in several labour-related areas.
Raddad said the Egyptian Labour Ministry is committed to providing technical support and expertise in priority areas for Palestine, including vocational training, employment programmes, cooperatives, and the exchange of skills and expertise.
He stressed that Egypt views cooperation with Palestine as a genuine partnership aimed at building capacity and developing sustainable solutions, rather than simply responding to emergency circumstances.
Supporting employment, labour and social protection is an important way to strengthen the resilience of Palestinian citizens, he added.
For her part, Attari praised Egypt’s continued support for the Palestinian cause, expressing appreciation for President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Egyptian people and government.
She described Egypt as a model of solidarity with Palestine and highlighted the depth of the historical ties between the two peoples.
She said Palestine seeks to move from emergency response toward sustainable solutions, particularly in vocational training, cooperatives and employment programmes, with a focus on empowering women and youth.
