Hosted by the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Minerals and supported by the Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority (EMRA), the second edition of Egypt Mining Forum (EMF) is set to take place from 18-19 July 2023 in Cairo.
Held under the theme ‘Building upon 120 years of geological discoveries for a decarbonized and sustainable future’, the forum will drive the conversations on investment, policies and licensing, exploration, exploitation, technology adoption, plus human and infrastructure capacity building across the entire mining and minerals value chain to deliver the industry’s commitment to a more sustainable climate-conscious future.
In statements Sunday, Petroleum Minister Tarek el Molla said Egypt has launched an ambitious and flexible strategy to optimize the country’s mineral wealth.
He added that Egypt seeks to double investments in the mining sector through luring global companies operating in this domain and developing partnerships with international investors in tandem with launching an infrastructure development process.
A host of companies, organizations interested in mining and financing activities, experts and government officials will take part in the event.
