CAIRO – The Cabinet’s media center said that Egypt is among the best world countries to make touristic road trips.
Egypt ranks no 27 in a list of 118 countries as per “Cross-Country Road Trip Index,” according to an infographic published by the center Thursday themed “Egypt is among the best countries to enjoy road trips.”
Given the fact that Egypt has wonderful landscape, road quality, and unique tourist destinations, it added.
It said Egypt is ranked in the fourth position in the African continent.
The index also took into account the number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in a given country and the number of cities in the top 100 world ranking, as determined by the website BestCities.org.
These factors, plus others, including areas of rich meadow pasture, road infrastructure, petrol prices, were weighted equally in the ranking.
