Outsourcing is one of Egypt’s most promising economic sectors, with the government seeking to drive significant growth amid growing interest from global technology and outsourcing companies in expanding their operations in Egypt through new investments and increased hiring.
The continued growth of Egypt’s outsourcing industry was highlighted in an infographic published on Monday by the Cabinet’s Media Centre.
The growth reflects Egypt’s position as a global outsourcing hub, strengthened in recent years by efforts to create a favourable business environment and invest in digital skills. These efforts aim to prepare qualified professionals to export digital services in multiple languages at competitive costs.
According to the infographic, Egypt is home to 252 outsourcing companies, including 177 global firms. The country also has 282 specialised outsourcing service centres, while the number of professionals working in outsourcing service exports exceeded 195,000 by the end of the first half of this year.
Alexandria has also strengthened its position as one of Egypt’s key outsourcing hubs over the past 15 years. The governorate is home to four global companies operating in the sector: US-based Sutherland and Concentrix, France’s Teleperformance (TP), and Britain’s VOIS.
Together, these companies employ around 15,000 specialists.
