CAIRO – Egypt called on all parties and powers in Libya to stop escalation, avoid violence and resort to dialogue to avoid bloodshed.

In a press release on Saturday, Foreign Ministry’s Spokesman Ahmed Hafez stressed the importance of protecting civilians and reaching a truce to maintain Libya’s stability and security.

Egypt hopes that all Libyan factions would reach consensus to achieve the Libyan people’s aspirations for stability and a better future, Hafez added.
