The government is committed to advancing the information and communications technology sector as one of the most promising sectors to stimulate various economic activities and enhance national economic growth, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said Saturday.
This is being achieved through measures aimed at encouraging ICT’s local and international investment, as well as intensifying efforts to improve Egypt’s ranking in global communications sector indices, thereby solidifying its position as a regional hub for communications, digital activities, and IT services, the premier added during his visit to the Digital Egypt Innovation Center “Creativa” in Giza.
Madbouli highlighted the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to continue efforts towards transforming Egypt into a fully integrated digital society by offering digital services, data governance, expanding training programs, and building digital capacities through applied technology schools, Digital Egypt Innovation Centers, and youth qualification initiatives for job opportunities.
For his part, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat highlighted the ongoing expansion of Creativa across governorates to support and assist entrepreneurs in the communications and IT sector.
He explained that 23 centers have already been established, with efforts underway to complete centers in the remaining governorates by 2025, aiming to have one center in each governorate.
