The Damietta Port Authority confirmed on Thursday that all terminals and berths continue to operate at full efficiency, with regular vessel arrivals and departures and uninterrupted cargo handling.
Marine and logistics services are being provided around the clock to meet the needs of shipping lines and port users, the authority noted in a statement Cargo movement across all sectors remains steady, ensuring workflow continuity and maintaining targeted operational rates.

Earlier today, Egypt’s Cabinet announced that initial investigations conducted by the relevant authorities into the fire that broke out aboard two ships at Damietta Port on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 indicate that the incident was caused by a drone attack.
The fire had been fully contained and noted that no party has claimed responsibility for the incident, statement confirmed.
