Egypt’s Ambassador to Italy Bassam Radi said that Minister of Health Dr Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar held an expanded meeting on Tuesday with Italian Minister of Health Orazio Schillaci in the capital, Rome.
The two sides discussed aspects of co-operation between Cairo and Rome in the field of health, medical care, and pharmaceutical industries. They also discussed the development of public hospitals affiliated to the Ministry of Health.
The meeting dealt with means to expand training courses for medical and nursing cadres.
Radi said that Abdel-Ghaffar reviewed the overall achievements in the field of health care, pharmaceutical industries, and related initiatives that took place in Egypt, as well as future projects, including the children’s hospital sector, and modern medical facilities in the New Administrative Capital.
