CAIRO – The cabinet’s media center published recently a number of infographic reports on its “Facebook” page about the inauguration by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi of the Egyptian quartz production complex in Ain Sokhna, Suez governorate.
The five-factory complex will be the first of its kind in Africa and the Middle East and aims to best benefit from the volume of Egypt’s reserves of quartz that reaches nearly 3.5 million tons. It will help Egypt have a greater competitive edge in this vital industry.
The infographic reports underscored the importance of quartz as a most essential mineral for several basic industries worldwide, especially IT industries.
The project is part of the state’s strategy for capitalizing on the raw materials and natural resources it possesses.
