The Border Guard Forces, in coordination with the main branches of the Armed Forces and the mobilisation formations, directed severe blows to criminal elements and smugglers and thwarted plans to harm the Egyptian national security in all strategic areas.
The Border Guard Forces seized quantities of hashish, hydro, opium, cocaine, Astrox, narcotic pills and a number of acres of hydro plants. They intensified security patrol and inspection work on ferries, tunnels, roads and various axes.
They also seized a number of weapons and bullets of various calibers, and thwarted many attempts to explore for gold ore after carrying out a number of raids and joint patrols.
The Border Guard Forces also foiled attempts at infiltration and illegal immigration by individuals of various nationalities through the strategic areas.
The Border Guard Forces continue their intensive efforts day and night to tighten control over Egypt’s border ports and crossings.
