The National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening international academic co-operation and exchanging expertise with Yemen.
NAQAAE President Alaa Ashmawy and Vice President for Al-Azhar Education Affairs Ragia Taha received on Monday Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Yemen in Egypt Hadi Salem Al-Sabban at the authority’s headquarters in Nasr City.
The meeting provided an opportunity to explore avenues for enhancing partnership and academic co-operation between the two sides.
Discussions focused on mechanisms for accrediting Yemeni higher education institutions in line with approved international quality assurance and accreditation standards.
The two sides also discussed plans to qualify academic staff and strengthen their professional competencies through an integrated programme of specialised workshops and training courses.
The initiatives will support faculty members and administrators in developing their expertise in key areas, including self-assessment and the preparation of analytical studies, while benefiting from Egypt’s best practices and successful experiences in quality assurance and accreditation.
The meeting reflects the shared commitment of NAQAAE and Yemen to advancing the quality and outcomes of higher education.
Through enhanced institutional and academic co-operation, the two sides seek to improve educational performance and strengthen the learning environment in ways that serve students and support the development of the educational process at both regional and international levels.
