Bandage factory to be established

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met on Tuesday with director general of the National Service Projects Organisatin (NSPO) of the Armed Forces Waleed Abu El Magd, in the presence of CEO of El Nasr for Intermediate Chemicals  Ihab Abdel Samei, and CEO of PIl Company for Medical Bandages Dr Abdel Moneim Azmy.

 

Presidency Spokesman Bassam Radi stated that during the meeting President Sisi reviewed the details of a plan for setting up a factory specialised in the manufacture of high quality medical bandages in accordance with international standards.

 

“The goal of this project is to cover the local needs of medical bandages and export the surplus abroad,” he added.

 

The meeting also discussed a plan for establishing a giant industrial complex in Ain Sokhna for the production of phosphate fertilisers in co-operation with foreign partners who have an expertise in this field.

 

President Sisi directed the immediate start of this project, which is considered an important addition for the local production of fertilisers, a key component for agricultural production and food security, the spokesman said.
