Bad weather wave hits number of governorates

A number of governorates were hit by a wave of bad weather and rain.

The state of readiness was heightened to face the bad weather and prevent rain water accumulation in the streets.

Gharbia governorate was hit by heavy rain and bad weather accompanied by extreme cold, causing traffic paralysis and affecting market activity.

Gharbia Governor Tarek Rahmi gave directives to remove the water from the streets and intensify the presence of ambulances on the highways in case of any accidents.

In Beheira, the bodies raised the state of readiness to face the bad weather conditions and intensified the traffic patrols to secure car movement and warn from excessive speed on the desert and agriculture roads.

Beheira Governor Hisham Amna said that all the equipment and teams were deployed to immediately handle any impact of rain on the governorate and remove the rain water from the streets.

Minya was hit by heavy rain and a wave of frost in all the villages of the governorate.

Minya Governor Osama el Qadi raised the state of readiness in the governorate to immediately respond in case of any impact of rain.
