CAIRO – Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Ahemd el Tayyeb mourned Saturday the death of President of the Egyptian Bar Association and Chairman of the Arab Lawyers Association Rajai Attia who died earlier on Saturday at 84.
In a statement, Tayyeb paid tribute to the deceased for his respect for Al-Azhar scholars, his efforts in defense of the innocent as well as those in need, and his meticulous writings in Islamic and humanitarian literature.
Tayyeb extended heartfelt condolences to Attia’s family.
