The Egyptian Ministry of Awqaf (Religious Endowments) said it collected about LE181 million’s worth of Adahi Sukuk and Feeding Sukuk in 2022, the highest funds ever.
This marks a LE40 million rise in comparison with the previous year, the ministry said.
Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa hailed the charitable Egyptian people and those working in the ministry for their keenness on serving society.
He also thanked the success partners, including the Ministry of Solidarity that exerted great efforts to distribute meat among most needy families.
He also thanked the Ministry of Supply, the National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr, Egypt Post and the Agricultural Bank of Egypt for their efforts.
