YEREVAN – Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan has said he personally needs the advice of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi who has faced big challenges and was able to turn Egypt a stable country.
In statements during a meeting of delegations from the two countries following a meeting with President Sisi at the Armenian presidency headquarters, president Khachaturyan described the Egyptian leader’s visit to Armenia as historic and the first of its kind by an Egyptian president to Armenia.
He said he exchanged with Sisi the viewpoints of the two countries on regional issues, pointing out that Egypt is a major power in the region with well-known expertise in the field of mediation tasks.
He said that Egypt promotes the agenda of peace and like Armenia, believes in peaceful co-exitance with neighbors.
The Armenian president said that his country needs Egypt’s expertise in achieving peace and stability in the region.
