Chairman of the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI) Mokhtar Abdel Latif and Mohammed bin Suleiman Al-Muaiqly, the General Manager of the Global Model Insulators Factory for Saudi Industry, have inaugurated the Nanoman Egypt Middle East project.

The project is carried out in co-operation between AOI’s Sakr Factory for Advanced Industries and the Global Model Insulators Factory for Saudi Industry, according to a statement issued by the organization.

The project falls within successful and continuous steps taken by the organization to localize technology and apply industrial green economy standards, as well as its efforts to attract investments in partnership with major international companies.

The advanced industrial project, which uses nanotechnology, is the second in the Middle East and the first of its kind in Egypt.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Abdel Latif expressed his appreciation for the good cooperation with the Global Model Insulators Factory for Saudi Industry, noting that AOI is keen to establish fruitful strategic partnerships with major sisterly Saudi companies, and looks forward to enhancing areas of joint cooperation, to transfer technology, research and development, to meet the needs of the local market and export to sisterly and friendly African and Arab countries.

He said that such efforts primarily aim to localize the nanotechnology industry and make it a national industry to achieve the highest levels of well-being in life by obtaining a clean environment, reducing the consumption of materials and water, and achieving health safety, in order to have a better environmental future free of chemical pollutants.

He added that this comes within the context of implementing an ambitious, scientifically studied plan to benefit from the advanced manufacturing capabilities of nanotechnology, in all areas of manufacturing in the factories and companies of the organization, within the framework of Egypt’s strategy for sustainable development: Egypt Vision 2030.

For his part, Al-Muaiqly voiced his pride in cooperating with AOI, which is the industrial backer of the Egyptian state, expressing his aspiration to work on localizing nanotechnology with Egyptian knowledge and creativity through benefiting from the distinguished manufacturing capabilities and human competencies of the organization.
