The National Alliance for Civil and Development Action organised on Sunday a series of ceremonies in Alexandria and Gharbia governorates to bring together the needs of young women who are about to get married.
The ceremonies came within the framework of directives by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to reduce financial pressures on families with slender means.
Alliance member organization, Arab Foundation for Community Development, was mainly responsible for organising the ceremonies in the two governorates.
It took the chance of the ceremonies to distributed electrical appliances to the young women participating in them for free.
The foundation said it would organise similar ceremonies in Ismailia and other governorates in the coming period.
“We will do this to offer the necessary support to people who deserve it,” the foundation said in a statement.
The National Alliance for Civil and Development Action was founded in March of this year.
It is an umbrella organisation of 24 associations, civil society institutions and development entities.
