Mohamed Kheir Abdel Qader – the head of the Arab League department of Arab unions and organizations – lauded the support of Arab companies and institutions, topped by the Egyptian-Sudanese initiative for those affected by the war in Sudan led by former prime minister Essam Sharaf.
In statements to MENA on Thursday, Kheir said an important meeting of Arab unions on Tuesday to support the initiative in the presence of Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit.
Kheir lauded the support of Egyptian institutions, companies, civil society organizations for the initiative, like Food Bank and Misr El Kheir Foundation.
Kheir said the initiative offers support for the Sudanese people affected by the war in the fields of education, health, etc.
