Nine military personnel, including some officers, were killed and wounded after a truck carrying ammunition overturned in the 10th of Ramadan city, Military Spokesman Colonel Ghareeb Abdel Hafiz said on Tuesday.
The accident took place in Al Robaiky area, south the 10th of Ramadan city in Sharqia Governorate, which is part of Greater Cairo.
All necessary procedures have been taken in coordination with the respective bodies, the spokesman said, offering condolences to the families of the martyrs and wishing speedy recovery for the wounded personnel.
