As many as 3,004 vehicle licenses were withdrawn for not installing electronic stickers.
The deadline for putting electronic stickers ended on March 30, MENA reported.
The electronic car stickers are fixed to windshields and include a SIM card that holds the vehicle’s data, allowing authorities to track violations, license expiration and traffic congestion.
The data can be read by special infrared sensors at traffic lights.
