CAIRO – The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said on Sunday that remittances of Egyptians working abroad recorded some 2.7 billion dollars during May 2024 – up 73.8% on May 2023.
In a statement, the CBE said expat remittances in May 2024 increased by 26.6% on the previous month. Remittances recorded 2.2 billion dollars in April 2024, the statement noted.
