The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced that remittances of Egyptians abroad recorded an unprecedented historic leap reaching 77.1% during a ten-month period to hit 29.4 billion dollars between July 2024-April 2024, compared to 16.6 billion during the same period last year.
In a statement released on Monday, the bank said remittance inflows in April 2025 rose by 39 percent to reach three billion dollars, compared to 2.2 billion dollars in February 2024.
The remittances between January 2024- April 2025 rose by 72.3 percent to record around 12.4 billion dollars, compared to approximately 7.2 billion dollars.
