Ethiopia is defying all international laws and norms regarding the River Nile and considers it river its own, Water Resources and Irrigation Ministry Spokesman Mohamed Ghanem said Tuesday.
He added in statements to Russia Today channel that Ethiopia officially notified Egypt that it has started the second filling of the renaissance dam.
He said that Ethiopia is not taking into consideration the interests of the downstream countries while starting the second filling of the Dam.
“Ethiopia does not care whether Egypt and Sudan would be affected or not. It also insists on taking unilateral measures,” Ghanem said.
