CAIRO – The Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation (EHCAAN) is the first company to adopt the Sustainable Development Strategy (SDS): Egypt Vision 2030.
EHCAAN has made great strides in the field of sustainable development, with regard to the environment and energy areas.
It started to convert airports into eco-friendly airports via setting up the first eco-friendly building at Borg El Arab International Airport, a matter that helps reducing carbon emissions and relying on generating electricity from solar energy in line with the global trend in depending on renewable energy.
Green architecture systems were also adopted at Sphinx and Sharm El-Sheikh international airports, where insulated glass is used to prevent heat loss.
