Among the world’s most accomplished and influential personalities, the Egyptian international expert Eng. Ahmed Hanafy, the founder and CEO of the Egyptian company “Digital Planets”, has awarded “Fakhr Al Arab” of the Year 2022 in Communication Technology from the Excellence Awards Academy at Dubai.
The most distinguished and influential personalities of 2022 in the region are selected to promote their efforts and appreciate the self-starters and the achievements made to enhance the quality of life in communities. Nominees as selected from a list based on a number of criteria, among which are: their influence in their communities and their contribution to achieving objectives in communities and nationwide.
Today marks the award ceremony organized by Excellence Awards Academy at Dubai, hosting a number of personalities, official organizations, commercial and financial institutions, civil society organizations, banks, businessmen and Arab figures in a platform of development, economics, politics, public health, environment and investment.
Having received his award, “Digital Planets” founder and CEO, Eng. Ahmed Hanafy, expressed his gratitude for being selected by Excellence Awards Academy at Dubai. It is a culmination of a diligent effort made by an integrated working group to achieve clear strategic objectives that contribute to the growth of countries and its digital transformation and optimize the use of latest cybersecurity and digital transformation technologies. In addition, it honors his contributions to a number of public and private initiatives that help share experience with universities students and encourage them to develop their mindset by providing information security programs and solutions as well as implementations of smart transformation, in line with the national strategy of digital transformation that promotes Egypt Vision 2030.
He added that, in the context of his attention to set a successful example to youth and provide them with support, Digital Planets adopts an ambitious strategy that intends to provide internships to students and alumni to practice skills of information security solution development; the local and global markets need hundreds of thousands of information security specialists, for their current and future roles are increasing amid the increased efforts reflected in the government and business enterprises’ orientation towards digitization and digital transformation. He pointed out that the concept of technology innovation and entrepreneurship is not exclusive to a certain group; however, it is related to the personal passion, believing in your dream and your ability to plan well to change a concrete idea into a tangible project.
Over a period of 20 years, the Excellence Awards Academy has focused on personalities of Arab nationality or Arab origins who have made difference in life and have highly influenced the economy, progress, comprehensive development and social responsibility.
For his part, Mr. Pierre Moukarzel, the representative of International Excellence Foundation in Arab countries, stated that: “Eng. Ahmed Hanafy has been selected by the Excellence Awards Academy Personality Selection Committee, given his effective role in the digital transformation over the past period. The solid accomplishments achieved by Digital Planets under his leadership changed it from a small enterprise into a leading one in different fields, rising in a short period. In addition, its role in supporting digital transformation in Egypt has pushed its success beyond the borders of the Arab region to reach regional and global levels, thanks to the good governance, proper planning and clear vision of Eng. Ahmed Hanafy. In this regard, receiving this award is well deserved, making him a positive example of young ambitious businessman and investor who supports industry and economy.
Hanafy established Digital Planets in Egypt in 2018. Two years later, he launched second company’s branch at Dubai. In 2021, he launched an office at UK to support his strategic regional strategic vision which’s aim to reach five branches by the end of 2023.
