Efforts by the ministries concerned are subject to daily follow-up in co-ordination with the relevant trade unions and chambers of commerce to ensure that basic goods and commodities are available to the public, the prime minister said on Wednesday.

Such efforts are made in order to soften the impact of the global economic crisis, the prime minister added during yesterday’s cabinet meeting.

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli hailed the signing of several agreements and contracts between the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and international companies to open headquarters for them in Egypt or boost investments by expanding activities at their branches here.

Madbouli also referred to the Egyptian-Jordanian summit to strengthen bilateral ties, the opening ceremonies by President Abdul Fatah El Sisi for the New Mansoura City and New Mansoura University.

The president’s inspection of Decent Life projects sends a powerful message about government interest in meeting the needs of 60 million people and promoting urban development.

He praised the inauguration of Abu Zekri Axis in Alexandria as a major advance in infrastructure.

Transport projects help ease traffic flow, securing jobs and expand urban communities in accordance with the nation’s vision of development, Madbouli said.

The prime minister also thanked the Armed Forces, represented by the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, for their achievements in national projects.

He highlighted the importance of President Sisi’s visit to the Police Academy to encourage future generations.
