The Egyptian Airports Company, a subsidiary of the Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, announced the start of providing portable devices to measure noise and air pollutants, as part of a plan to develop the environmental system at Egyptian airports.
Mohamed Saeed Mahrous, head of the Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, said that this comes within the framework of the directives of Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Abbas to pay attention to environmental issues in accordance with the vision of the Egyptian state in order to reduce environmental pollution and achieve sustainable development goals.
Mahrous pointed out that the Ministry of Civil Aviation places at the forefront of its priorities the concern for the preservation of the environment, as measuring the environmental impact of Egyptian airports and reducing pollution of all kinds contributes to achieving the highest rates of environmental safety.
Aviation minister inspects travel, arrival halls at Cairo airport.
As part of his ongoing field tours, Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Abbas inspected the travel and arrival halls at Cairo International Airport in order to follow up on the regularity of the operating movement and to ensure the quality of services provided to travellers.
The minister, during his tour in which he inspected the travel and arrival halls, the internal lines, and the baggage belts area, stressed the need to commit to providing all facilities to travelers without negligence, and the need to hold any negligent accountable.
