CAIRO – Transport Minister Kamel el-Wazir and his Sudanese counterpart Hisham Abu Zaid chaired the 179th meeting of the board of the Nile Valley Authority for River Navigation Monday.
The meeting discussed the development plan of the authority and technical, financial and legal measures to choose an investment company to run and operate assets of the authority at Aswan/Wadi Halfa navigation line.
Wazir affirmed the move is an important step toward development efforts to upgrade the authority.
In turn, Abu Zaid said the authority is an ideal icon for joint cooperation between Egypt and Sudan.
The two sides tackled the exchange of experiences in multimedia transport and marketing through cooperation with the private sector, in addition to honing human skills of employees in the authority.
