CAIRO  – Egypt’s Supply Minister Ali Moselhi announced that the state is set to save LE20 billion next year thanks to cultivating one million feddans of wheat in Toshka and Egypt Future projects.

Speaking to Sada Al-Balad TV channel late Wednesday, the minister reiterated that such cultivated area is set to provide 2.2 million tonnes of wheat.

Egypt received all wheat shipments, upon which Cairo agreed with Kyiv before the Ukrainian-Russian crisis.

The minister pointed out that there is only one shipment carrying 63,000 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat, which has not been received yet, but Cairo contacted the Foreign Ministry and Egypt’s ambassador to Russia to speed up the release of this shipment.

Meanwhile, the minister pointed out that the ministry offers 30,000-40,000 egg racks a day and there will be no price rise of eggs.
