The Egyptian Health Ministry announced the success of the third stage of the “knock door” campaign under which 221,736 people were vaccinated against the coronavirus pandemic within eight days in four governorates.
Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said the third stage of the campaign focused on the governorates of Cairo, Daqahlia, Gharbiya and Kafr el Sheikh.
The second stage covered Alexandria, Giza, Qaliobiya and Beni Suef.
As many as 13,700 members of the medical teams have been deployed in villages of the targeted governorates to provide vaccinations.
