The e-payment system for state employees’ salaries is set to be finalised by the end of 2022, affirmed Finance Minister Mohamed Maait.
The move came upon presidential directives to finalise implementing the e-payment system for state employees’ salaries, added the minister.
The minister, meanwhile, said that the move is one the most important tools for building a digital Egypt.
It is also one of the government’s tools for transitioning to a cashless economy and promoting financial inclusion in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030, added the minister in a statement issued by the Finance Ministry on Tuesday.
The e-payment system offers many benefits to the state employees, including ensuring the payment of all workers’ entitlements, said the minister.
