The Arab League has called for promoting solidarity and enhancing Arab-international co-operation to confront climate change and the improper solid waste management.
This came in a statement issued by the Arab League General Secretariat on the occasion of celebrating the Arab Day for Human Rights, which falls on March 16 of each year.
The pan-Arab body, meanwhile, affirmed that the right of creating a sustainable environment is a development goal in order to curb the spread of pandemics and viruses.
The link between human rights and the environment is indisputable, the AL added, stressing the necessity of intensifying efforts to implement human rights obligations.
