Minister of State for Military Production Salah Suleiman Gomblat paid an unannounced visit on Saturday to Heliopolis Company for Chemical Industries (Factory 81 Military) to review production operations and assess progress against planned targets.

During a tour of several production lines, Gomblat reviewed production rates, the progress of ongoing projects and the company’s development plans.

He stressed the ministry’s commitment to implementing President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to strengthen the strategic role of military production companies.

He said these efforts aim to meet the Armed Forces’ needs, localise advanced manufacturing technologies, deepen local production and expand partnerships with the private sector.

Such efforts are also aligned with Egypt Vision 2030, support national industry and generate added value for the Egyptian economy, he added.

Gomblat said Factory 81’s advanced industrial and technological capabilities, together with its adherence to international quality standards and competitive pricing, provide opportunities to expand exports.

He stressed the need to continuously upgrade the company’s production and operational systems.

He also highlighted the importance of investing in human capital as a cornerstone of sustainable industrial development. This includes enhancing workers’ skills, developing their expertise and encouraging innovation.

The minister further called for adopting modern management systems, boosting institutional work practices and making better use of available resources to improve efficiency, product quality and competitiveness.
