Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber received Nepal’s Ambassador to Egypt, Sushil Kumar Lamsal, at the governorate headquarters in what marked the first official visit by a Nepalese envoy to the Cairo Governorate.
The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in economic, cultural, and tourism fields. Governor Saber highlighted the depth of relations between Egypt and Nepal, emphasizing the shared commitment to expanding collaboration across multiple sectors.
Ambassador Lamsal praised Egypt’s development efforts, particularly the transformation witnessed in Cairo’s infrastructure and road networks. He noted that the visible progress reflects the government’s dedication to modernization and urban improvement.
The visit is seen as a step toward building stronger ties between the two nations, opening new avenues for partnership and exchange. It also underscores Cairo’s growing role as a hub for international cooperation and cultural dialogue.
This first-of-its-kind meeting at the governorate headquarters sets the stage for future initiatives aimed at enhancing mutual interests and fostering closer relations between Egypt and Nepal.
