French President Emmanuel Macron and French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian arrived in Ukraine Tuesday, said French Ambassador to Ukraine Etienne de Poncins.
“I am honored to welcome to Kyiv President Emmanuel Macron, who arrived to meet with Volodymyr Zelensky, and Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, who will meet with Minister Dmytro Kuleba. Ahead is a very busy day. Welcome to Ukraine!” the ambassador said on his Twitter account, reported Ukrinform news agency.
On February 7 in Moscow, Macron held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
At a joint press conference with Putin, Macron said the coming days will be crucial for stabilizing the situation and achieving de-escalation.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled to meet with President Macron today.
