Cairo International Airport continued to record positive growth rates in passenger traffic and flight movements during January 2026, compared to the same month in 2025, reflecting efficient operations and the quality of services provided to travellers.
The number of passengers increased to 2,996,606, compared to 2,635,041 passengers in January 2025, achieving an annual growth rate of approximately 14%.

The total number of flights also reached 21,044 flights, compared to 18,529 flights during the same month last year, marking an increase of about 14%.
Cairo Airport Company, led by Magdy Ishaq, Chairman of the Board, is keen to continuously develop operational systems and services within the airport, in line with the strategic directives of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation. These efforts aim to strengthen Cairo International Airport’s position as Egypt’s main gateway and a key regional aviation hub.
