Egyptian Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade represented by the General Committee for Foreign Aid announced on Sunday the launch of the 15th emergency humanitarian aid convoy to the Gaza Strip in cooperation with Catholic Relief Services (CRS).

The ministry said that Convoy No. 15 is part of the ongoing series of Egyptian relief convoys dispatched by the General Committee for Foreign Aid since the outbreak of the crisis.

The convoy includes urgent humanitarian assistance comprising 12,000 mattresses, 16,300 blankets and 4,000 mats, with a total weight of 136 tons.

This effort comes in response to the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip and aims to meet the basic needs of the Palestinian people while helping to alleviate their suffering amid the difficult circumstances.

Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Sherif Farouk affirmed that the ministry is keen to intensify cooperation with international organizations to ensure the rapid delivery of aid.

He said that the launch of the new convoy represents a continuation of the ministry’s relief efforts since the beginning of the crisis.

The minister explained that the ministry has so far launched 15 humanitarian convoys in cooperation with Catholic Relief Services, delivering a total of approximately 1,766 tons of humanitarian aid transported via 255 trucks and five aircraft.

The assistance included tents, blankets, mattresses, sleeping mats, hygiene supplies, and essential living necessities, as part of Egypt’s ongoing efforts to support the brotherly Palestinian people.

Farouk stressed that Egypt will continue to provide all forms of humanitarian support to the Palestinian people, underscoring that the ministry remains committed to dispatching additional convoys in coordination with relevant authorities to ensure the uninterrupted flow of aid and to ease the suffering of civilians inside the Gaza Strip.
