CAIRO – Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation Rania el-Mashat said Sunday, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi consistently emphasizes advancing cooperation and integration with the African countries to create a shared economic future.

The minister said joint African action is the only way to confront challenges and conflicts and to build a development model based on the exchange of expertise.

During an extensive meeting, Mashat held with seven ambassadors of African countries, including Algeria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Malawi, Cameroon, Uganda and Senegal – as part of the events of the first Egyptian-African Economic Conference, organized by Al-Ahram Hebdo under the title: “The Africa We Want: Integration and Partnership for the Future”, She explained that the meeting discussed efforts to achieve development on the continent and the shared relations between Egypt and its sister and friendly countries.

All efforts are meant to confront challenges facing African nations, strengthen interconnection between countries through joint infrastructure projects, increase trade exchange and joint investments and create effective partnerships between the private sectors, added the minister.
