President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is heading on Thursday to Saudi Arabia at an invitation from Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
President Sisi’s visit comes within the framework of the deep-rooted historical relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, Presidential Spokesman Mohamed Shennawy said.
The visit reflects the keenness of both leaderships to continue strengthening bilateral cooperation, in addition to ongoing coordination and consultation on regional and international issues of common interest, he said.
Shennawy added that the discussions between President Sisi and the Saudi Crown Prince, scheduled to take place in the city of NEOM, will focus on ways to enhance the strategic partnership between the two countries as well as achieving mutual interests across political, economic, and developmental fields.
The two sides will also discuss recent developments in the region, topped by the war in the Gaza Strip, as well as the conditions in Lebanon, Syria, Sudan, Libya, Yemen, and security in the Red Sea.
